The “Nuova 500” was produced by Fiat from 1957 to 1975. It is a real icon on four wheels and one of the symbols of “made in Italy”. Its unique and recognizable design is famous all over the World. When the small car was set up by the Italian car manufacturer, its goal was simple: to introduce on the market at a very affordable price a new compact car able to enlarge the number of potential customers. Furthermore the new car should be easy to drive, even in the city traffic, and provide very low running costs. The “Fiat 500” was released on the market in July 1957 and it was immediately a success. In 1965 was introduced the 500F, the version with the largest number of units produced. Easily recognizable for the front-hinged doors, in line with the new laws, the Fiat 500F adopted several technical and aesthetic improved solutions as the new frame and the wider windscreen. The Fiat 500F is, still today, the most “classic” version of the whole 500 production and it remains in the heart of a huge number of car fans.

The ‘Concept 95/380’ has been, for some time, the flagship product in the renowned DAF manufacturer’s lineup, representing a further development of the Space Cab series. It was recognized by the market as a significant evolution compared to its predecessors. Indeed, numerous technical and aesthetic improvements were developed and adopted, greatly appreciated by users of road industrial vehicles, especially for long-haul journeys. The soundproof cabin and advanced shock absorbers for the time provided top-of-the-market onboard comfort, and the powerful 6-cylinder ATI (Advanced Turbo Intercooling) engine ensured good performance with a particular focus on operating costs.

The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. Tiger I is undoubtedly one of the most famous tanks of World War II. It was developed to provide the armored divisions of the Wehrmacht with a heavily armored and heavily armed tank to complement the more common medium tanks, Panzer III and Panzer IV, which were no longer effectively countering enemy tanks. Its primary armament consisted of the renowned and lethal long-barreled 88mm KwK 36 L/56 anti-tank gun. Installed in the turret and protected by a heavy 120mm shielding, it could penetrate the armor of any contemporary enemy vehicle even at long distances. Deployed on all major theatres of operation, it played an active role in German military operations in Normandy and the Western Front. Despite facing issues of reliability and deployment, the heavy tank, when operated by skilled crews, was always greatly feared by the Allied forces.

The Panzerkampfwagen V “Panther” is widely recognised as one of the best tanks that was produced during World War 2. It was deployed as a direct response to the Soviet T-34 and KV-1 tanks on the Eastern Front, which were superior to both the Panzer III and Panzer IV in terms of performance and armaments. Powered by a 700 horsepower V-12 Mayback engine, it was armed with the 75 mm KwK 42 high speed gun which was a very effective anti-tank weapon. The Panther was designed with optimal armor protection, including inclined front armor. Its overall mobility, speed and armaments made the Panther one of the leading tanks of the period, and ensured its deployment on all of the main operational fronts, from the East through Italy and France.

WWll TANK COLLECTION – 74 PARTS – HIGHLY DETALIED KIT – DECALS FOR 2 VERSIONS – 2 ALTERNATIVE MODELS: M8 – M20 – FIGURE INCLUDED

At the beginning of World War II, the U.S. Army had lightweight and lightly armed vehicles, called “scout cars,” for advanced reconnaissance activities. Developed during the war, the M-8 Greyhound armored car, characterized by increased protection and heavier armament, represented a turning point for the American army. The vehicle provided greater operational flexibility and could be more effectively used to support ground troops thanks to the 37mm cannon installed in the turret. First used on the Italian front, from Monte Cassino to Anzio, it later participated in the D-Day operations in June 1944. Although the terrain in Normandy proved challenging and demanding during the initial phases of the operation, later on the M-8 was particularly appreciated for its speed of movement and versatility in deployment. The M-20 version was developed from the M8 version for Military Police duties and command vehicle roles.

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the best aircraft produced during World War II. Manufactured in more than 20,000 units starting from 1941, it was, alongside the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the most renowned fighter aircraft of the Luftwaffe. In its early versions, such as the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8, the fighter was equipped with a BMW 801 D-2 double-row radial engine with 14 cylinders, delivering 1,700 horsepower, enabling it to reach a top speed of 653 km/h. Over time, designers capitalized on the successful aerodynamic structure of the aircraft, achieving what can be considered its ultimate evolution. The adoption of the powerful liquid-cooled Junkers Jumo 213 12-cylinder engine necessitated a revision of the aircraft’s design, resulting in an elongated nose. The D version was aptly nicknamed by Luftwaffe pilots as “Langnasen-Dora” (Long-nose Dora), but once in flight, they immediately appreciated its characteristics and capabilities. The FW-190D was indeed capable of competing on equal terms with the most modern Allied fighters, such as the renowned P-51D Mustang.
