Seaview Ocean Diorama
The Seaview used here is an 8″ resin molded kit that I purchased at Wonderfest last year from one of the vendors.
The display base was created by first sculpting the ocean with light-weight air-drying clay and then covered with wet wipes. The wipes were adhered to the clay using gel medium which added a nice uniform texture. It was then painted with various shades of blue and once dry, the sea foam was added by gluing strands of cotton with diluted white glue. I first saw this technique on a Youtube channel called Ebroin’s Miniatures. Overall I think it turned out well and made for a very convincing water effect without the use of any liquid resins.
