The Lamborghini Murciélago is a supercar produced at the Sant’Agata Bolognese plant by the renowned Italian automaker between 2002 and 2010. The Boeing B-17 “Flying Fortress” is a four-engine heavy bomber that was extensively employed by the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. It was produced in large numbers and saw widespread use, particularly by the 8th Air Force, for daytime strategic bombing missions over the European front, often with the support of long-range fighter escorts. The “F” variant marked a significant advancement over earlier models. The Boeing B-17F featured extended operational range, the ability to carry a substantial offensive payload, and enhanced defensive armament consisting of ten .50 caliber machine guns. One of the most appreciated features among flight crews was the B-17’s remarkable ability to return to base despite sustaining heavy structural damage from enemy fire.

At the end of the 1930’s the Italian Regio Esercito (Royal Italian Army) began to deploy self-propelled artillery guns to provide support for tanks and infantry units. The ‘Semovente’ 75/18 was developed on the back of the ‘M’ series medium tank hull and soon became the most feared Italian armored vehicle. In addition to its primary artillery role, the 75mm howitzer installed in the casemate proved to be a highly effective anti-tank weapon, capable of destroying even the most powerful and heavily armored British and American tanks. During the war however, the Italian Regio Esercito requested the development of a version with increased offensive capability. The 75/34 cannon which was originally designed for an anti-tank role, was fitted to the hull of the M42 self-propelled tank. The initial units of which, were distributed to the Italian Army in the spring of 1943. As a result of its effective operational performance, it was also used by German anti-tank battalions after the armistice in September 1943.

Throughout the war, in order to counter enemy technological advancements, the Spitfire underwent continuous development in both aerodynamic configuration and powerplant options. The Spitfire Mk V, introduced in 1941 and powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine rated at 1,440 hp, was produced in large numbers and widely distributed among operational squadrons. Flown by some of the most renowned Royal Air Force aces, it achieved a significant number of air-to-air victories.
