The JSF Joint Strike Fighter program was a developmental project to create a new 5th generation all-weather multirole combat aircraft to replace the existing American and NATO strike-fighter force. The aerospace industry team led by aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin, created the single-seat, single-engine F-35 Lightning II. This fighter employs stealth technology and is characterized by its trapezoidal wings and application of the most advanced hi-tech systems, materials and avionics. Designed to attain air superiority, provide close air support and undertake ground attack missions, it has been developed in differing configurations for its varying roles. The F-35B with its STOVL (Short Take Off and Vertical Landing) capability has been specifically designed to operate from modern aircraft carriers such as the British H.M.S. Queen Elizabeth or the Cavour, the flagship of the Italian Navy. The U.S Marines Corps plan to deploy the F-35B in both attack and ground support roles. The STOVL version is powered by the Pratt & Whitney afterburning turbofan and its swivel nozzle, which directs the thrust of the engine. Due in part to its operational flexibility, its advanced on-board technology, innovative design and performance features, the F-35 Lightning II is already a landmark aircraft in the world of 21st century military aviation.

The single-engine fighter-bomber Fiat G-91 was developed by the Italian aeronautical company in the early 1950s. Designed by the renowned engineer Giuseppe Gabrielli, it was characterized by an aerodynamic layout with swept wings and compact dimensions that ensured significant in-flight maneuverability. Its good performance enabled the G-91 to win the NATO competition aimed at identifying a tactical support aircraft that was easy to produce, yet versatile and flexible, capable of equipping the air units of member countries. The Fiat G-91 was in fact employed by the Italian Air Force as well as by Germany and Portugal. Armed, in the “R” version, with four 12.7 mm machine guns mounted in the nose, it could carry an offensive payload of 700 kg on underwing pylons.

GLUABLE RUBBER TRACKS – DECALS SHEET FOR 6 VERSIONS – 1 FIGURE INCLUDED – COLOR INSTRUCTION SHEET

The M4 Sherman medium tank was, without a doubt, the most widely produced and deployed armored vehicle of World War II. The M4 formed the backbone of American armored forces and was manufactured in numerous versions and variants. The Sherman “Wet” was developed during the tank’s operational service to reduce the risk of fire, which was a common issue in early production models. Introduced in 1944, it featured redesigned and repositioned fuel tanks to minimize the likelihood of explosions and fires. The adoption of fuel tanks immersed in a propylene glycol solution, hence the name “Wet”, proved to be an effective solution. Crews appreciated the increased reliability and survivability in combat. The Sherman “Wet” was extensively used on the European front during the final stages of World War II.
