Over the years, model kits based on figures from the classic Japanese manga and anime science fiction media franchise Mobile Police Patlabor have come out from Bandai and Good Smile Company. Both have put out 1:60 scale kits. Now Aoshima is throwing its hat into the ring with larger, new-tooled models! The second in their three kits series is the Mobile Police Patlabor Special Command Vehicle (kit number MP-02).
- 1:43 scale – matches scale with the other Aoshima Patlabor kits
- Two-kit set – build both Unit 1 and Unit 2
- In-scale Shinohara Asuma, Kanuka Clancy, and Kumagami Takeo characters included to fit inside vehicles
- Front hatch and side doors can open and close
- Parts for three in-scale BEL-1999 Cardia guard robots included
- Water slide decal sheet included
- Parts molded in color
