The Jaguar XJ 220 became famous for its top speed record among production cars, reaching 350 km/h, held from 1992 to 1994. The project’s origin is also quite interesting. It began from the ideas and creativity of Jaguar employees who were working on innovative and original projects, not included in commercial demands. From this initiative, the Jaguar XJ 220 was born, with the first production car being manufactured in 1991. Lightweight and extremely powerful, it delivered performance worthy of a true “top sports car” and featured an aerodynamic design with highly modern lines for its time. A version was also developed for the world of motorsports, and it participated in several GT races, including the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by renowned drivers of the era.

To better meet the logistical and transportation needs in the challenging environmental conditions of the Eastern Front, the Wehrmacht developed tracked tractors capable of towing various types of vehicles and transporting different loads, including ammunition and supplies. The official designation of this series of vehicles, which were highly versatile in operational use, was “Raupenschlepper-Ost” (Crawler Tractor-East). The RSO was predominantly built by the Austrian company Steyr, which also developed an anti-tank version that was simple and cost-effective to produce, armed with the reliable and formidable 75mm PaK40 cannon. The vehicle essentially had the same technical structure as the tractor and featured increased frontal protection, given its operational use in direct contact with the enemy.

The H-19 helicopter, also known as the “Chickasaw,” was one of the first tactical transport helicopters developed by Sikorsky in the ‘40s. Designed for troop and material transport, the H-19 featured a distinctive front-mounted engine configuration. This design was innovative for its time, optimizing flight stability and manoeuvrability while offering robust operational versatility. It entered service in the early 1950s and was employed by the U.S. Armed Forces during the Korean War. Its strong performance and high reliability were key factors in the helicopter’s widespread adoption across numerous countries. The versatile airframe of the H-19 also served as a foundation for various versions and mission-specific variants, including models for maritime patrol and medical evacuation.
